So what is it?

The Rejuvi tattoo removal technique removes tattoos by using a chemical extraction mechanism to soften the tattoo pigments and bring them to the surface of the skin. The process is very similar to being tattooed, so if you were able to get through your tattoo, this will be no problem!

How is it different from laser tattoo removal?

There are a few things that differentiate the Rejuvi tattoo removal process from laser tattoo removal.

• Rejuvi is non-colour selective, meaning it will effectively remove all tattoo colours. Laser tattoo removal generally works better on darker colours, and requires more sessions to break down lighter colours.
• Patients generally see less scarring and report less pain with the Rejuvi method compared to laser treatment. To further minimize any discomfort, a topical anaesthetic may be applied to help numb the skin prior to treatment.

Is it right for me?

While Rejuvi is suitable for most people, a thorough consultation is carried out prior to any treatment. Treatment should never be carried out while pregnant or breastfeeding.

Darker skin types are more prone to keloid scarring and this process is not recommended for those whose skin type is 5-6 on the Fitzpatrick skin type test. This, along with any other possible concerns, can be discussed during the consultation.

Rejuvi taytoo removal is safe to undergo even if you have had previous laser treatment; however, laser treatment can cause chemical changes in the pigments which can lead to a greater chance of scarring. More personalized answers can be provided during your consultation.
