Benefits Of Pigmentaion Treatment

Pigmentation treatment can offer several benefits, especially for individuals dealing with hyperpigmentation, melasma, age spots, or other skin discolorations. Here are some of the key benefits:

Even Skin Tone

Pigmentation treatments can help in achieving a more uniform skin tone by reducing dark spots and patches. This results in a smoother and more balanced complexion.

By addressing pigmentation issues, these treatments can improve the overall appearance of the skin, making it look healthier and more radiant.

Clear, even-toned skin can significantly boost self-esteem and confidence, as individuals may feel more comfortable and satisfied with their appearance.

Pigmentation treatments can minimize the appearance of age spots and sun damage, contributing to a more youthful look.

There are various pigmentation treatments available, such as chemical peels, laser therapy, microdermabrasion, and topical creams, allowing for personalized treatment plans based on individual skin types and conditions.

Some treatments not only address existing pigmentation issues but also help in preventing future discoloration by promoting healthier skin and protecting it from sun damage and other environmental factors.

Many pigmentation treatments are non-invasive or minimally invasive, meaning they often require little to no downtime, allowing individuals to resume their daily activities relatively quickly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q.I have dark skin and want to remove some dark spots on my face and body. Is laser treatment suitable for me?

A.

Laser treatment is extremely effective in removing spots caused by sun exposure and hormonal imbalance (such as melasma) aka hyperpigmentation. Unfortunately, it is contra-indicated for dark skins. The following guidelines should be followed:

  • Skin types 1, 2 and 3 (all Caucasian skin types):

Safe to use unless sun exposed

  • Skin type 4 (Indigenous Canadians, most Hispanics, Metis, many Asians, most Middle-Eastern people):

Safe to use provided your skin tone is on the lighter side. We will first perform a test on a very small area to make sure the treatment is both safe and effective for you.

  • Skin types 4 (darker side) and 5 (most people from India and Pakistan):

Laser treatment for pigment is contra-indicated. We do have alternative treatments for you but laser treatment is not safe and will probably make things worse.

  • Skin type 6 (people of African descent):

As for Skin type 6, laser treatment is contra-indicated for reduction of hyperpigmentation. Alternative treatments are available.

  • Fractional Laser Therapy

Fractional laser therapy uses tiny laser beams to target specific areas of the skin. This type of laser therapy can help to improve the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, and acne scars.

  • TempSure Envi:

The TempSure Envi is the most advanced radio-frequency non-invasive treatment to tighten skin, shrink fat cells and improve lymphatic drainage.

  • IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Therapy:

IPL therapy uses pulses of light to improve the overall appearance of the skin. IPL therapy can help to reduce the  appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, and other skin blemishes.

  • Laser Skin Resurfacing:

Laser skin resurfacing uses laser energy to remove the top layer of damaged skin. This type of laser therapy can help to improve the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, and acne scars.

  • Laser Hair Removal
